Bedford TX

Part of the sprawling and lovely Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Fort Worth, Bedford is located in northeastern Tarrant County, TX. It features the prominent highways of State Highway 121 and State Highway 183. It is reasonably close to the DFW International Airport, a great stay for any international travelers.

The area saw its first settlers in the late 1840s. A log cabin school was built by Milton Moore in 1861, becoming the community’s first actual school. A general store and gristmill quickly followed, built by Weldon Bobo in the 1870s. Bobo and a group of farmers would go on to agree to name their community Bedford for the county in Tennessee many of them had come from.

In the area, breweries are a big deal. Turning Point Beer is one of these breweries offering a diverse line of craft beers that are always worth the taste and the time. Other more party-oriented businesses are in the area, including legacy 80s-style arcades with a small cover charge, escape rooms galore, and a number of theaters that put on local productions as well as Texas-wide productions.
